醫學教育部為台灣醫學生聯合會六大常設部門之一，過去曾參與許多醫學教育重大革新。
近年來維持四大工作主軸，持續推動並精進「全國醫學生自主評鑑」、進行跨校課程與學生權益調查、提供醫學生學業與職業生涯發展資訊、參與跨校性醫學教育政策討論，以期從全國醫學教育品質、學生學習權益、職涯發展三大方面著手，敦促我國醫學教育品質改善。
最終希望能提升整體醫學生學習品質與專業能力，亦保障國人能獲得高水準醫療，裨益國民健康。
